SPD Performance Alpha Catted Y Pipe - 2021-2026 F150 5.0L

Replace restrictive factory F-150 downpipes with SPD’s USA-made, direct-replacement 3" mandrel-bent y-pipe to improve throttle response, fuel mileage, and performance while reducing backpressure and heat—no custom tuning required. Built from TIG/MIG-welded stainless steel with an integrated 4" flex pipe for chassis flex, it features industry-first 6" 400-cell Alpha Cats extra-loaded with rhodium to deliver 90% higher flow than previous performance cats while meeting green emissions standards.

Why does the diameter of the cat matter? Alpha catalytic convertors have a diameter of 6". They have a substrate surface area of 28" for the exhaust to flow through. Which is twice the surface area of a 4.5" cat.

OZ Recommendations:

• Standard Alpha cats suit setups up to ~800 whp with moderate driving, but extreme heat cycling and heavy feet can cause them fail prematurely. For high-stress or higher-horsepower builds, upgrade to GESI cats
• GESI 85500 (up to 850 hp/cat): Ideal for trucks up to 1000 whp that aren't continuously abused
• GESI 85600 (up to 1200 hp/cat): Best for hard-driven trucks at any power level, proven reliable on builds over 1200 whp
