Oz Tuning – 2026 F150 5.0 – Whipple Stage 1 to Stage 1.5 “Power Pack” upgrade for 91/93
DESCRIPTION
DESCRIPTION:
Superchargers are nothing more than air pumps. They pump air into the engine, that air requires more fuel, and that means a bigger “boom” when the mixture ignites. More BOOM means more POWER. It’s a simple concept and, on paper, there doesn’t appear to be any drawbacks.
In reality, spinning a supercharger and compressing air is not a very efficient process, and that process generates heat. Heat is the enemy of any combustion engine, and even more so with boost. If the air going into the engine is too hot, it can cause unstable combustion, which is commonly called “knock” and if the air gets really hot the air/fuel mixture can self-ignite before the spark plug fires. That “self-ignition” is referred to as “preignition” and it is a one-way ticket to having the inside parts of your engine, suddenly on the outside. Otherwise known as a “Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly”, and nobody likes RUD’s.
This heat is why Whipple supplies their superchargers with oversized intercoolers, but you can further reduce blower discharge heat by allowing the blower to breathe more efficiently. If air can enter the supercharger with less restriction, less energy is required to pull that air in. That means less energy is required to compress that air, and less energy is required to discharge that air into the engine. The less energy the supercharger requires to operate, the less heat it will generate t the same blower speed.
The best way to reduce restrictions on the inlet of the supercharger is by upgrading from the stock 90 mm throttle body to the MASSIVE 132 mm “Roval” throttle body and the matching Whipple Crusher intake tube. Upgrading to the larger 132 mm throttle body and inlet typically provides a 1-2 psi increase in boost on the same pulley, lower aircharge temps, and as much as 30-40 whp gains. Plus, better efficiency and lower aircharge temps mean a safer running engine that is less prone to damaging knock. It really is a win-win!

REQUIREMENTS
NOTES & REQUIREMENTS:
- If you have a Stage 1R kit and not a Stage 1 click here for that Power Pack.
- All 2026 Whipple trucks require the Whipple tune for tuning.
- HP Tuners MPVI4 or RTD4 with 4 Credits is required.
- Windows 10+ laptop required.
- All Forced Induction tunes will require extensive datalogging which requires a Windows 10+ based laptop. Instructions will be provided, but you will need to be comfortable with downloading and emailing file attachments to complete the tuning process. (Remote dyno tuning is available. Click here for details)
- Forced induction tunes require premium fuel (91 octane or higher) and are built for a SINGLE FUEL OCTANE.
- After purchasing your tune you must fill out a complete Tune Form before we can build your base tune.
CREDITS
HP TUNERS CREDITS:
2018+ Ford F150's requires 4 HP Tuners Credits. Options B & C includes these 4 Credits.
Credits are the currency used by HP Tuners to purchase licenses for tuning specific vehicles. A license is tied to three key pieces of information:
- VIN (Vehicle Identification Number)
- Serial Number of the controller
- Operating System (OS) on the controller
Once a vehicle is licensed, your HP Tuners interface device can write modified tune files back to that specific vehicle.
POLICIES
TUNING POLICIES:
All Forced induction tuning services are time-limited and will include 30 days of complementary datalog reviews and/or personalized adjustments to cover adjustments such as firmer/softer shifts, increased/decreased throttle response, etc. Changing or adding modifications to the vehicle that would require a tune adjustment would not be considered a "preference-based adjustment" and would not be covered by a complimentary update.
During the tuning process for Forced Induction tunes, a tune will be considered "complete" if no follow-up contact is received from the customer within 30 days of receiving a tune revision.
Should your tuning window expire for any of the above reasons, you will be asked to purchase a Re-Tune through the website to "reset" your tuning time period, at which point the customer will receive a new 30-day window for complimentary adjustments and datalog reviews.
